Dr. S.K.S Marya is the Chairman & Chief Surgeon - Orthopaedics & Joint Replacement at Max Smart Hospital, Saket & Max Hospital, Gurgaon. Dr. Marya has been in the field of Medicine and Orthopaedic Surgery for over 38 years, and his specialisation includes Joint Replacement Surgery for the joints of upper and lower limbs (Primary and Revision) and Trauma Management based on the AO Principles. 

Dr. Marya has also performed more than 20,000 joint replacements of knees, hips, shoulders, toes, and finger joints. He has authored nine books and published 94 papers worldwide. He has been president of the Indian Orthopaedic Association, Indian Hip & Knee Society, Indian Arthroplasty Association, and ASIA. He is an honourable visiting Prof to five universities. Dr. S.K.S Marya has also been honoured with many prestigious awards, namely the Bharat Jyoti Award (Glory of India Award), DMA Distinguish Services Award, Haryana Vigyan Ratna and Praman Patra from the Punjab Government, and BN Sinha Meritorious Award.

Dr. S.K.S Marya has completed his M.B.B.S from PGI Rohtak and M.S. (Orth) from PGI, Chandigarh with honours, and then did his MCh (Orth) and FRCS from the UK. He was awarded D.Sc. (Honoris Causa) by Amity University.
